Terms of Service

Last updated: October 16, 2026

These Terms cover the TALA desktop app and the dashboard at talaai.ph, provided by PAVEx Development Inc. By using them you agree to these Terms for yourself and for the organization that gave you access.

1Who can use TALA

TALA is offered to licensed organizations such as local government units and road and traffic offices. Accounts are created by your organization's TALA administrator. Keep your password private; you are responsible for what is done with your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has used it.

2License

While your organization has a valid agreement with us and follows these Terms, we give it a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license, which we may withdraw, to install the desktop app on its computers and to use the dashboard for its own work.

3Cameras and footage

Only connect TALA to cameras and footage your organization has the right to use. Your organization is responsible for following the Data Privacy Act and other laws that apply to its CCTV, including posting notices and keeping footage and vehicle pictures only as long as needed. TALA's automatic blurring of faces and plate numbers helps, but it does not replace these duties.

4Acceptable use

5Your data

Your organization owns its footage, the traffic results and the reports made from them. You let us store and process the uploaded results only to provide the service. How we handle personal data is explained in the Privacy Policy.

6Our property

The software, AI models, website and the TALA name and logo belong to PAVEx Development Inc. and its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership of any of them to you. Some parts of TALA are open-source software used under their own licenses.

7About the numbers

Vehicle counts, vehicle types, directions, road-wear figures and road-life forecasts are worked out automatically from video. They are planning aids, not certified survey results. Accuracy goes down at night, in rain or glare, and when vehicles are far away, very small or hidden behind others. Road wear is an estimate against the DPWH design standard, not an inspection of the road itself.

Check the results, using the vehicle log where needed, and have a qualified engineer review them before using them for official submissions, budgets, procurement or safety decisions.

8Fees and ending the agreement

Fees, how long the license lasts and renewals are set out in your organization's order or agreement. Either side may end the agreement if the other seriously breaks it and does not fix the problem within 30 days of written notice. When it ends, access stops, and the parts of these Terms that by their nature should continue still apply.

9No warranty

As far as the law allows, TALA is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including that it fits a particular purpose or will run without interruption.

10Limit of liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses. Our total liability is limited to the fees your organization paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11Governing law and changes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, and cases are to be filed in the courts of Pasig City. We may update these Terms and will change the date at the top when we do; continuing to use TALA means you accept the update.
